What is a Chef?

A Chef is a professional cook or culinary specialist. They may work in restaurants, catering halls, hotels and other food service establishments. Chefs typically have an advanced degree in cooking or another related field and are well-versed in the art of preparing delicious meals quickly and efficiently.

What qualifications are required to become a Chef?

A Chef must have a minimum of two years experience in an executive-level kitchen. They must be able to think on their feet and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. They should also have excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills. A Chef must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Finally, they need strong culinary skills including the ability to plan and execute recipes accurately
