Job Description

Carries out preventive maintenance of Refrigeration and Air conditioning equipment and systems. Repairs faulty Refrigeration and Air conditioning equipments. Assist in verification Refrigeration and Air conditioning spares purchased/supplied Troubleshoot Refrigeration and Air conditioning equipments malfunction, diagnose problems and perform maintenance on Refrigeration and Air conditioning equipments.

Your salary will depend on your skills and experience. You can expect a minimum salary of AED 1500, but you could earn up to AED 1800 if you meet the company's requirements.

What is a Chiller Technician?

A Chiller Technician is a person who specializes in the operation and maintenance of chillers. They may work for companies that produce or use chilled products, or they may be self-employed. A typical job duties include diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning chillers, monitoring system performance, training employees on how to operate them safely, and keeping records related to the chilling process.

What qualifications are required to become a Chiller Technician?

1. Valid certification as a Chiller Technician from an accredited organization such as the National Board of Trade or American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

2. Ability to read schematics and blueprints, understand engineering principles, be able to work independently with minimal supervision, have experience working with computers using software programs such as Google Sketchup or Inkscape.

3. Must be proficient in English language including understanding written instructions and communicating effectively both verbally and in writing with co-workers.

4. Basic math skills including fractions; basic knowledge about refrigerants; ability to use tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers etc.; good hand/eye coordination for handling small parts quickly while wearing safety glasses & gloves .

5 Experience installing air conditioning systems

What are the skills required to become a Chiller Technician?

1. Knowledge of refrigeration and calculating temperatures

2. Experience working with computers and software programs to monitor, control, or troubleshoot chillers

3. Ability to read schematics and drawings related to chilled water systems

4. Strong math skills including ability to calculate volumes and pressures
