What is a Chiller Technician?

A Chiller Technician is a person who repairs, installs and maintains chillers. They might be called upon to troubleshoot or repair chiller problems. In some cases, they may also work in the refrigeration industry as part of an air-conditioning team.

What qualifications are required to become a Chiller Technician?

1. Must have a minimum of an associate's degree in Thermodynamics, Engineering or Science.

2. Must be able to read and understand schematics and diagrams related to Chillers.

3. Experience working with refrigeration systems is preferred but not required.

4. Excellent problem solving skills are necessary as chillers can be complex machines and require attention to detail when servicing them .

5..Must pass written testing specific for Chiller Technicians

What are the skills required to become a Chiller Technician?

1. Knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems

2. Experience in maintenance or troubleshooting of these systems
