What is a Civil Foreman?

A civil foreman is a person who oversees the construction of a building or other structure. This position typically requires experience in construction, engineering, and/or management. A civil foreman may also be responsible for ensuring that all requirements associated with health and safety are met during construction.

What qualifications are required to become a Civil Foreman?

1. A four-year college degree in civil engineering or a related field is required.

2. Experience as a foreman on construction projects is preferred, but not required.

3. Excellent problem solving skills are necessary to be successful as a Civil Foreman; knowledge of structural and geotechnical analysis tools is also helpful.

4. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to lead teams of engineers and contractors through complex project schedules/plans/schedules while maintaining quality control standards
