What is a Civil Multi Technician

A Civil Multi Technician is someone who has a honed set of skills in several different civil construction trades. This could include things like masonry, carpentry, painting and roofing. A multi technician would typically be hired by a contractor to complete specific tasks on site that are not easily accomplished by one person.

What qualifications are required to become a Civil Multi Technician

1. A minimum of 2 years experience in one or more related crafts is required to qualify for the Civil Multi Technician designation.

2. Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications is necessary for this position.

3. Must be skilled in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, drills and screwdrivers

4. Knowledge of construction materials including mortar mix ratios and types needed are essential

5 . Excellent communication skills are a must
