What qualifications are required to become a Civil Supervisor?

A. A college degree is not required to become a Civil Supervisor, but experience in the field or certification from an organization such as The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) are preferred.

B. Individuals should have at least two years of civil engineering experience and ideally be certified by ASCE or another professional body.

C. Supervisors must possess excellent problem-solving skills and strong leadership abilities in order to manage large projects successfully.

D. They should also be able to work effectively team oriented environments with both engineers and other supervisors within their department/agency/organization .
