What is a Cleaner?

A cleaner is someone who cleans a room, workplace or house. They may clean with water, vacuum cleaners or chemicals.

What qualifications are required to become a Cleaner?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Valid driver's license with a safe driving record is necessary.

3. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

4. Ability to work independently, take direction well, have good communication skills are also important qualities for a Cleaner position .

5.. Possession of state-required certification such as OSHA 1040 (safety training) or CPR/AED certified are requirements

What are the skills required to become a Cleaner?

1. A good eye for detail - being able to spot and pick up small messes that may go unnoticed by others.

2. Strong cleaning skills - be able to clean various surfaces quickly and efficiently, without damaging them in the process.

3. Patience and stamina - being able to work long hours under pressure, often with little or no breaks required.

4. Strength – Being physically capable of carrying heavy objects and tackling tough tasks head-on (eccentricity is a plus!).

5. Good communication skills – Be comfortable working cohesively as part of a team, both verbally and nonverbally
