What is a Cleaner?

A cleaner is an individual who cleans and maintains a facility or place. A cleaner may work in a variety of industries, such as healthcare, food service, manufacturing, construction or retail. They clean floors, carpets, furnishings and equipment; remove debris from surfaces; disinfect surfaces; maintain schedules and reports; communicate with employees and clients about cleaning needs.

What qualifications are required to become a Cleaner?

1. A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and have good communication skills.

3. Must be reliable, have strong organizational abilities, and take direction well from management team members/supervisors.

4. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work in difficult environments for extended periods of time are essential qualities for cleaners
