The Commis Chef will be responsible to provide assistance to Chef De Partie in carrying our preparatory work for creating dishes, stocking food supplies and maintaining high standards of hygiene. Key Areas of Responsibilities: • Preparation and portioning of food on time and ensuring they meet quality and quantity standards. • Prepare food by accurately following the recipes provided. • Maintain the cleanliness in all assigned areas, including refrigerators and freezers. • Ensure freshness and suitability of products used by the section that they are stored properly. • Ensure smooth running of the section during Chef De Parties’ absences. • Control cost by minimizing spoilage, waste, proper storage and exercising strict portion control. • Follow the Basic Food Hygiene Guide Lines always. • Weigh the ingredients and using proper quantities in preparing food. • Assist the chefs in ensuring that the health and safety standards are upheld in the kitchen. Salary: AED 1,500/month + Shared bachelor’s accommodation Job Type: Full-time (6 Days/week)

1. JOB PURPOSE He is responsible for the food preparation and mise en place designated by his allocated section. He must be familiar and knowledgeable in the CFI menu and other related production activities. 2. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/KNOWLEDGE Standard High School Education. Requires a minimum of two years in the profession which is in Quality Hotels, Restaurants or similar experience. Basic hygiene certificate is a must. Will be assigned any section in the kitchen by the Executive Chef that can be changed from time to time for training purposes. Must have account of the transportation of food items from the CFI central kitchens to the Supermarkets. Duties include the knowledge and able to maintain cleaning and sanitizing of his working area and working utensils following the Dubai municipality rules and regulation Regulations and all times Must be familiar with the Choithrams and Dubai municipality Rules and Regulations Must be able to utilize ingredients maximum to avoid the wastages. Must have an knowledge of maintaining the physical store inventory including FIFO Must maintain regular communication with other commis in terms of day to day operations. 5. OPERATING ENVIRONMENT Job location might change based on business requirement. Job holder may be relocated to any office or department. The working environment is physically demanding of time such as working long hours, working on weekends and holidays. Physically fit and in good health, without any previous record of any medical problems, drugs and alcoholism. Must be able to lift up to 30 Kilos on a daily basis Must have a pleasant and courteous personality. Must be well groomed, and presentable.
