What is a Computer Operator?

A computer operator is someone who helps maintain, operate and troubleshoot computers. They may also be responsible for creating or modifying software used on the computers.

What qualifications are required to become a Computer Operator?

A. A high school diploma or equivalent is generally required for computer operator jobs.

B. Experience working with computers is often a prerequisite for this position, and many employers prefer candidates who have some experience in software programs such as Microsoft Word or Excel.
