A concierge is a person who provides services such as room service, laundry, and transportation.
1. A Concierge must have a great deal of customer service experience and be able to communicate effectively with customers.
2. They must be knowledgeable about the city they work in and be able to recommend attractions, restaurants, shopping destinations and other activities that are popular within their area.
3. Concierges should also possess excellent communication skills; it is essential that they can convey information clearly and concisely both over the phone or in person.
4. Finally, concierges need an acute sense of discretion; as such, they should not reveal confidential information regarding clients or employees without consenting first (unless required by law).
5. Many concierges go on to become managers or directors within hospitality businesses after gaining valuable experience working in this field
The skills required to become a Concierge are: excellent customer service skills, strong communication and problem solving abilities, knowledge of luxury brands and products, ability to navigate busy city streets.
