Job Description

Content Manager The person: You have a way with words and can make the simplest ideas seem engaging and exciting. You know how to grab attention with language and understand human emotions and psychology. You are Emirati (or someone who has been in the country for a while) with a deep understanding of the UAE’s local dialect, culture, and traditions. You are a native Arabic speaker (local dialect) with exceptional Arabic and English writing skills. The Role: We are looking for a content manager to produce clear and concise copy for ads, social media, publications, emails, products, and websites. Your words will inform and engage target audiences. You will write, produce, and edit thought leadership and demand-generation copy (long and short form) for a variety of channels (including email, web, mobile app, infographics, eBooks, video, print, social media, and blogs), working closely with the leadership and marketing teams to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and turn messaging into compelling copy that engages. A marketing and copywriting background coupled with in-depth knowledge of the UAE (and GCC) culture will be essential to understand the brand, products, and marketing goals. Job Responsibilities: ● Write compelling content for our website, app, social media channels, product descriptions, email, blog, and other channels ● Develop a content marketing and production calendar across channels ● Explore and identify content topics and pillars relevant to our audience ● Manage change requests to existing onboarding, service, transactional, and product education communication tactics ● Adapt language and style to reflect brand voice and tone ● Develop and manage company template library and conduct audits to ensure the value, organization, and consistency of existing content ● Partner and work closely with cross-functional teams internally and externally ● Regularly collaborate with our Digital Experience (DX) and Marketing team to ensure copy and design complement one another and are aligned with other customer-facing content and experiences. ● Synthesize strategic messages into consumer-friendly and engaging copy ● Present creative concepts to internal clients and stakeholders Soft Skills ● Self-motivated yet customer-focused ● Exceptional writing skills in both Arabic and English ● Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tools and applications ● Familiarity with customer journey mapping ● Feels at home writing sales copy or editorial copy ● Experience designing social media posts for different platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat...etc.) ● Understanding of human psychology, needs, and emotions ● In-depth understanding of branding and marketing principles ● Highly creative and imaginative with the ability to produce innovative and original ideas ● Ability to write persuasively and consistently communicate in the brand voice ● Strong presentation, and communication skills Requirements ● Degree in journalism, literature, or marketing preferred ● Proven working experience in copywriting for digital marketing, background in e-commerce startups is a big plus ● In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and marketing tools ● Basic knowledge of SEO and keyword research ● Demonstrable knowledge of copywriting frameworks such as AIDA, PAS, FAB, etc. ● Proficient in writing for multiple formats, attention-grabbing headlines as well as short, descriptive copy ● Experience in writing editorial content (long-form and blog posts) as well as ad copy ● Multilingual writing skills at a high level is a must
