What is a Continental Cook?

A Continental Cook is someone who specializes in European cuisine. They may have worked at a restaurant that served French, Italian, or German food and learned to make their dishes using these traditional ingredients and techniques.

What qualifications are required to become a Continental Cook?

1. A minimum of 2 years experience as a cook in a continental style restaurant or hotel is required.

2. Must be able to work independently and take direction well, have excellent communication skills, and must be organized and detail-oriented.

3. Ability to prepare cuisine from around the world is mandatory, including but not limited to French, Italian, Spanish/Latin American, Moroccan/Tunisian etc., as well as Asian dishes such as pad thai or General Tso’s chicken.

4 Creativity and willingness to experiment are also essential qualities for this position; Continental cooks are often tasked with creating new menu items or improving existing ones according to customer feedback - something that does not go unnoticed!
