What is a Continental Cook?

A Continental Cook is a chef who specializes in European cuisine. They may have worked in restaurants that specialize in French, Italian, or German food and would be able to prepare dishes from those countries with ease. Continental cooks are also often trained in classical cooking methods such as grilling and sauteing which give their meals an air of sophistication.

What qualifications are required to become a Continental Cook?

1. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.

2. Must be able to read and understand recipes thoroughly.

3. Strong organizational skills are necessary as cooks need to keep track of multiple dishes at once and remain organized while cooking them all simultaneously.

4. Excellent communication, coordination, and problem solving abilities are required because cooks must constantly liaise with other departments within the restaurant such as hostesses/hosts, dishwashers/dishwashing staff etc., in order to ensure that food is delivered on time and correctly prepared each time it’s served up by the kitchen staff members themselves..

5 . A good attitude is also important; if someone has an negative disposition or can’t take criticism well then they may not be suited for this career path due to its demanding nature
