A Control Panel Electrician is an individual who installs, maintains and repairs electrical systems in buildings. They may also be responsible for wiring new installations or retrofitting existing structures. A control panel electrician typically has a degree in engineering or related field, along with experience working on electrical systems. They are required to have special certification from the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) or another relevant trade association.
Some qualifications that are typically required to become a control panel electrician include experience in electrical wiring and installation, knowledge of safety practices when working with electricity, excellent problem-solving skills, proficiency using computers and software programs for managing projects. Additionally, candidates may need certification from the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) or another governing body such as The Joint Commission.
