A Control Technician is a person who installs, maintains and repairs equipment used in industrial plants or commercial facilities. They may also be responsible for conducting inspections of plant operations.
A person who desires to become a Control Technician must have a degree in technology, preferably engineering. They also need experience with machines and computers, as well as good problem-solving skills. They should be able to work independently and take initiative when needed. Finally, they must be able to stay calm under pressure while working with machines
1. Strong technical skills in computers and telecommunications
2. Knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment
3. Proven experience working with control systems or automation technologies
4. Problem-solving abilities
