What is a Cook?

A cook is someone who prepares food in a kitchen. They may work with recipes or follow written instructions to create something specific and delicious. A cook often has many years of experience under their belt, so they know how to make an amazing dish that everyone will love.

What qualifications are required to become a Cook?

1. A minimum of 5 years working experience in a kitchen is necessary to be considered for the Cook position.

2. Must have strong culinary skills and knowledge, able to prepare variety of dishes from appetizers through main courses.

3. Ability to work independently as well as under pressure while maintaining composure is a must; attention to detail essential also!

4. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being able to communicate with both staff and guests alike comfortably & effectively required (both verbally & written).

5. Be physically fit – cooking often involves long hours at the stovetop or in the ovens
