What qualifications are required to become a Cook?

1. Experience in the kitchen or know how to cook a variety of dishes

2. Patience and good organizational skills

3. Ability to work independently as well as part-time if needed

4. Familiarity with various cooking utensils, knives, pots and pans

5. Good communication and interpersonal skills

What are the skills required to become a Cook?

1. The ability to read and follow written instructions.

2. Skill in preparing food according to a recipe or prescribed methodologies.

3. Knowledge of basic kitchen equipment, such as knives, pots and pans, stovetop appliances and ovens/stoves

4. Ability to multitask while cooking by following multiple recipes at once or keeping an eye on the clock while also monitoring the food temperature carefully
