What are the skills required to become a Cook?

1. Ability to read and follow written recipes or cookbooks accurately.

2. Knowledge of kitchen equipment and how to use it properly, including a knowledge of knives, pots, pans, baking sheets etc.

3. Dexterity in the hands – being able to cut ingredients without dropping them into hot liquids or burning oneself on ovens/stoves top elements etc..
