What is a Finishing Carpenter?

A finishing carpenter is someone who specializes in making final products, such as cabinets or furniture, look their best. They may also be able to do repairs on these items.

What qualifications are required to become a Finishing Carpenter?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Knowledge of common construction tools and techniques is necessary, such as saws, hammers, chisels and screwdrivers.

3. Experience working with wood in some capacity is preferred but not essential; training can be obtained through vocational schools or apprenticeship programs.

4 Skilled labor (finishing carpenters are typically skilled journeymen) - there's a lot of hand-eye coordination involved!

5 The ability to work independently - finishing carpenters often have to complete tasks without help from others on the job site

What are the skills required to become a Finishing Carpenter?

-The ability to read and follow plans or blueprints

-The ability to use a measuring tape, square, level, and saw blade accurately

-Advanced math skills including fractions and percentages
