What is a Finishing Carpenter?

A finishing carpenter is someone who specializes in the final stages of a construction project, such as trimming and finishes. They may also be responsible for setting up furniture or other amenities once a building is complete.

What qualifications are required to become a Finishing Carpenter?

1. A minimum of a high school diploma is required to become a finishing carpenter.

2. Training in carpentry, joinery and construction skills are often required before becoming a finishing carpenter.

3. Finishing carpenters must be able to work with both hand and power tools, have strong manual dexterity and excellent problem solving abilities.

4. Finished carpentry products may include doors,windowsills, furniture frames or other components requiring precision cuts and finishes including wood stain, sanding & lacquer application etc..

5 . In order for the finish Carpenter to create an aesthetically pleasing product they need good eye for detail as well as knowledge about how different woods react when finished
