A finishing carpenter is someone who specializes in the final stages of a construction project, such as installing doors and trim, finish work on floors and walls, or painting.
-Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
-Valid driver's license
-Good communication and problem solving skills
-Ability to read, write, and understand basic math concepts
The skills required to become a finishing carpenter vary depending on the level of training and experience an individual has. Some basic skills include: reading blueprints, using tools, working with wood, carpentry knowledge, estimating time and materials needed for projects.
