What is a Fitness Trainer?

A fitness trainer is a person who helps people get fit and stay healthy. They can help with everything from teaching exercises to setting up individualized programs. They also often have training backgrounds in sports medicine or physical therapy, so they are really good at helping people rehab injuries or improve their overall health.

What qualifications are required to become a Fitness Trainer?

1. A minimum of a two-year degree in fitness or recreation management is required to become a certified personal trainer (CPT).

2. CPTs must complete an accredited certification program that includes coursework in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, nutrition and biomechanics.

3. Fitness trainers must also be licensed by their state governments; many states require individuals to pass the National Council on Strength and Conditioning’s Certified Trainer Examination (CTE).

4. In order for trainers to work with people who have disabilities, they must possess at least one year of professional experience working with persons with disabilities and hold valid disability identification card from their state government or organization which provides services for people with disabilities.</p>5. Trainers typically need strong communication skills as well as organizational abilities in order to manage groups of clients simultaneously.</p>
