What is a Fitness Trainer?

What qualifications are required to become a Fitness Trainer?

1. A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required to become a fitness trainer.

2. Fitness trainers must have at least two years experience working with people in sport and/or health related fields before being certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE).

3. Fitness trainers must be outgoing, enjoy working with others, and possess excellent communication skills as they will frequently work directly with clients.

4. Physical stamina is also important as most fitness training takes place outdoors including running, cardio exercises, etcetera; therefore good physical conditioning is essential for longterm success in this profession!

5. Training methodology varies greatly depending on the individual trainer’s style so prior knowledge of different types of exercise routines can help make finding the right program much easier
