What is a Florist?

A Florist is someone who sells flowers. They may also be known as a flower shop, florist, or bouquets specialist.

What qualifications are required to become a Florist?

1. A Florist must have a degree in floristry or horticulture.

2. They must be able to work with plants and floral arrangements, as well as design flower bouquets and baskets.

3. Florists need good customer service skills, as they will often be dealing with customers directly over the phone or online.

4. They should also have some knowledge of aromatherapy and other flower-related techniques, in order to provide their clients with optimum care during appointments..

What are the skills required to become a Florist?

1. Knowledge of plant anatomy and cultivation.

2. Ability to read, write, and understand basic floral design principles.

3. Experience with various flower types and their related colors/flowers/styles appropriate for particular occasions or locations (eccentricity is key!).

4. Advanced knowledge of horticulture tools such as pruning shears, watering can, fertilizer bottles etc., in order to maintain proper plantsmanship while completing work tasks expeditiously and proficiently under pressure! 5. A strong eye for detail combined with the ability to multi-task quickly on numerous projects simultaneously - this is a must when it comes to being successful in the Florist industry!
