What is a Food Quality Controller?

A food quality controller is a person who ensures that the food supply meets or exceeds specific standards. They may work in factories, restaurants, grocery stores, or catering businesses. Some of their duties include monitoring production lines and ensuring that ingredients are properly processed and stored; checking for contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, chemical residues, etc.; auditing records to make sure procedures are being followed correctly; and issuing warnings if necessary.

What qualifications are required to become a Food Quality Controller?

1. Must have a college degree in food science, nutrition or related field

2. Experience working with food as an employee in a manufacturing setting

3. Familiarity with microbiology and chemical safety practices

4. Strong knowledge of quality control methodology including sampling, analysis and recordkeeping

5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively

What are the skills required to become a Food Quality Controller?

1. Knowledge of food production and quality control methods
