What qualifications are required to become a Furniture Carpenter?

1. A Furniture Carpenter must have a valid apprenticeship or certification in furniture construction from an accredited trade school.

2. They must be able to read, write and understand basic carpentry and woodworking tools.

3. Must have excellent problem solving skills and be detail oriented when working with wood products.

4. Have good manual dexterity as well as fine motor skills when using hand saws, chisels and other cutting instruments such as routers/jigsaws etc..

5 . Be physically fit enough to work on ladders, scaffolds or in confined spaces
