What is a Gas Technician?

A gas technician is a professional who repairs and maintains the equipment used to produce, distribute, or use natural gas. Gas technicians may work in industrial plants, commercial buildings, homes, or anywhere there is a need for their services. They must be able to read blueprints and diagrams of machinery and tools used in the production of natural gas. In addition to repairing machines, they are usually involved in installing new ones as well as troubleshooting existing problems with them.

What qualifications are required to become a Gas Technician?

A gas technician must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to read and write English. They should also have experience working with gases and pipelines.

What are the skills required to become a Gas Technician?
