What is a Graphic Designer?

A graphic designer creates images and graphics for a variety of purposes, including advertising, packaging, web design, print media and software applications. A graphic designer may specialize in one type of image or graphics creation or have knowledge across many areas. Some common skills associated with being a graphic designer include excellent drawing skills (for illustrations), an understanding of typography and the ability to create original designs. Additionally, most good Graphic Design Schools teach principles such as layout & composition; color theory; photo editing/manipulation ; web development using HTML / CSS etc..

What qualifications are required to become a Graphic Designer?

1. A degree in graphic design is necessary, but not always required.

2. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign are essential skills for a designer.

3. Creativity and an eye for detail are important qualities for a good graphics designer.

4. Skill at creating layouts, typography, and images is necessary to be successful as a graphic designer

What are the skills required to become a Graphic Designer?

1. Strong graphic design skills including typography, layout, graphics and photography.

2. Ability to create effective brand identities and marketing materials.

3. Experience working with a variety of file formats (PDFs, PSDs, JPGs) in Photoshop or Illustrator software.

4. Familiarity with web development concepts such as HTML/CSS coding and responsive designs for different devices (phones & tablets).

5. Excellent organizing skills; able to quickly sketch out ideas then refine them into final products
