A graphic designer is a professional who creates and maintains graphics for use in print, online, or other mediums. Graphic designers work with clients to create designs that are both effective and aesthetically pleasing. They may also consult on project ideas and provide feedback throughout the creative process. A typical career path for a graphic designer includes earning an undergraduate degree in art or design followed by specialized training in Photoshop and Illustrator.
1. A degree in graphic design or a related field is required.
2. Experience working with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is necessary, as well as knowledge of typography and layout principles.
3. Solid attention to detail is essential for successful graphic design work; designers must be able to see the big picture as well as get bogged down in specific details.
