A graphic designer creates graphics, logos, and illustrations that are used in advertising or marketing materials. They may also create images for websites or other digital media. A graphic designer often has a degree in art or design, but some work as self-taught professionals.
1. A bachelor's degree in graphic design is usually required, but some schools offer concentrations that may be more specific to the field such as motion graphics or web Design.
2. Experience working with Adobe Suite software is a must, and many employers prefer applicants who have experience using Inkscape or Illustrator .
3. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for a successful career in Graphic Design; often times projects require collaboration between designers on different teams within an organization.
4. Familiarity with typography, layout techniques, branding principles and color theory are also important qualifications for aspiring Graphic Designers - especially since so much of what goes into creating effective visuals relies heavily on these fundamentals!
