A degree in graphic design, illustration, or a related field is required for most Graphic Designer positions. Additionally, many employers prefer applicants who have experience working with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Other skills such as knowledge of typography and color theory are often beneficial. Finally, designers must be able to think critically and solve problems creatively.
