A graphic designer is a professional who creates original designs for printed or electronic media. They may work in advertising, marketing, or design agencies, designing everything from logos to brochures and website graphics. A typical job duties of a graphic designer include creating concept art; developing layouts; choosing typography and colors; producing prints and digital files. Graphic designers need excellent communication skills as they often collaborate with other professionals throughout the production process.
1. A degree in graphic design is typically required, although some employers may accept less formal education or experience as a qualification.
2. Graphic designers usually have strong drawing and painting skills along with knowledge of typography and layout principles.
3. Some graphic designers also have advanced Photoshop and Illustrator abilities, which can be useful for creating complex graphics or logos.
