What is a Grill Chef?

A Grill Chef is someone who cooks food on a grill.

What qualifications are required to become a Grill Chef?

1. Experience in the kitchen cooking barbecue or grill food is a must

2. Knowledge of how to use BBQ and grill cookware, including charcoal, wood chips, and propane is important

3. Must be able to work quickly and efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality control

4. Proven experience with preparing meat using either direct grilling (over live coals) or indirect heat such as over an open flame on a gas grill is ideal

5. Excellent customer service skills are also necessary

What are the skills required to become a Grill Chef?

1. Knowledge of cooking methods and techniques, including charcoal grilling, gas grill grilling and stovetop smoking

2. Experience in preparing foods using a variety of barbecue tools and appliances

3. Familiarity with various types of meats, fish or vegetables that can be grilled
