A Gypsum Carpenter is someone who specializes in installing gypsum board and other types of drywall.
A Gypsum Carpenter must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to read and follow instructions, have good hand-eye coordination, know how to use tools safely and correctly, work well under pressure and stay focused.
1. The ability to read and understand blueprints or schematics of construction projects
2. The ability to use a level, saws, chisels, planes and other tools appropriate for the job
3. Knowledge of safety procedures when working with gypsum boards and plastering materials
4. Strong work ethic
