A head waiter is the individual in charge of taking care of guests and managing their service. He or she oversees all aspects of a guest's dining experience, including seating arrangements, wine recommendations, and even clearing away dirty dishes. Head waiters are typically well-versed in classical cuisine and often have intimate knowledge about the restaurant's menu items.
1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Experience as a waiter, bartender, or similar position is preferred.
3. Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends.
4. Excellent customer service skills are essential for this position

I. JOB SUMMARY Supervise the workload amongst self and waiting staff in the outlet. Initiate and maintain follow up of work requested. II. Main Duties and Responsibilities • Courteously greet guests on arrival, offer menus and suggest a fresh juice or chilled water. • Ensure that the mis-en-place is correct to enhance the service times. • Oversee the waiter, busboy during service and offer assistance where necessary • Ensure all equipment are turned off at the end of the shift • Acknowledge returning and regular clients • Check reservations for the shift and allocate with the approval of the outlet manager • Check back with the guests during their meal, any comments should be forwarded to the Outlet Manager/Chef • Take orders from the tables and pass these onto Waiters. • Check the guest bills are correct to avoid any discrepancies. • Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times. • Provide a courteous and professional service at all times. • Maintain good working relationship as with colleagues, and all other departments. • Have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Hotel’s Policies relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety. • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times. • Have a complete understanding of the Hotel’s employee handbook and adhere to the regulation contained within. • Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned. • Attend all training sessions/programmed that are requested by the Hotel’s Management.
