A Junior technician is someone who has just completed their apprenticeship and is starting out in their career. They may have some experience working on a certain type of equipment, but are still learning more about how the industry works.
1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Must be at least 18 years old and possess limited work experience in the technician field is preferred but not required
3. Ability to read, write and understand basic concepts in math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
4. Experience using hand tools such as saws, hammers etc., for light fabricating duties
5. Basic knowledge of computers with Windows XP/7/8 operating system
The skills required to become a Junior technician vary depending on the field in which they wish to work. However, most technicians typically need good problem solving and communication skills as well as basic computer knowledge.
