Should be able to support managers with design and delivery of projects including day to day coordination with project team members. Working with the practice lead to drive landscape business developments, win work and delivering technical/commercial proposals. Develops and creates high quality and innovative concept designs. Lead preliminary and detailed drawings and documentation including technical specifications and construction detailing. Selects and recommends landscape materials and palette for hardscape, softscape and site furniture based on local knowledge. Developing concept and detailed master plan focused on public realm design and strategies. Ability to manage and execute projects from concept through to construction documentation. Strong graphics and presentation skills in both hand sketches and digital program/software Ability to multi-tasks in a fast-paced working environment.

A landscape engineer is a professional who practices land management. They work with landowners to design and manage landscapes that are in compliance with local, state, national, and international laws and regulations. Landscape engineers may also offer consulting services on landscaping projects or participate in land conservation initiatives.
A college degree in Landscape Engineering, a minimum of three years work experience as a landscape engineer, and certification from the American Society of Landscape Architects or other professional organization is typically required to become a licensed land surveyor. Additional qualifications may include knowledge of horticulture, soil science, surveying techniques, construction specifications and drawings.
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong working knowledge of landscape architecture principles and practices, land surveying techniques, plant identification, soil science fundamentals
- Knowledge of major garden plants (flowering shrubs, annuals/perennials) and their cultural requirements
- Experience with landscaping software programs such as Photoshop or GIS mapping tools

Job Summary The Landscape Engineer is responsible for managing a portfolio of maintenance clients and managing new landscape installations. This will be a combined role of the typical enhancement Engineer and an account Engineers roles. He/She will supervise all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. Individuals with excellent communication, customer service, landscape management, and landscape installation skills. Must be able to oversee landscape installations, design tasks, manage, communicate, and coordinate activities of subcontractors and in-house employees. This will be a full-time permanent position. Core Responsibilities • Coordinates and supervises all landscape installation and maintenance activities, including but not limited to understanding the sale and value creation expected, creating project schedules, mitigating risks, delivering such that customers become raving fans, managing up and laterally with team members, and the like • Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications • Involvement with hiring, training, and developing team members • Orders materials as necessary throughout the process • Develop and maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and BWS team members • Prepares, schedules and supervises completion of a final punch list • Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately • Ensures all company team members and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy • Maintains and organizes job sites, office storage facility, and equipment • Conducts customer survey at conclusion of project with objective of exceeding customer expectations and creating referrals Communication: • Provides thorough, timely, and effective communication • Builds open and honest relationships • Listens to and respect team members, clients, and vendors • Values constructive criticism Teamwork: • Builds productive, long-term relationships with clients, vendors, and others • Commits to common goals based on open and honest communication • Works together to bring out the best from our combined talents • Inspires others to maximize their potential
