What is a Light Driver?

A Light Driver is a device that converts electric power into light.

What qualifications are required to become a Light Driver?

1. A valid driver's license is required.

2. There must be a minimum of 2 years driving experience.

3. The Light Driver program is designed for drivers who have never been convicted of drunk or impaireddriving offences and possess good driving records overall, including no more than one moving violation in the past 3 years .

4. An applicant must pass an online Road Test administered by Transport Canada which measures their knowledge about safe light vehicle operation on Canadian roads and night vision capabilities .

5. In order to become a certified Light Driver, they are also required to complete 200 hours of training with an approved instructor over a period of at least 8 weeks

What are the skills required to become a Light Driver?

1. The ability to stay calm in difficult situations.

2. Ability to remain focused on the task at hand and not get distracted by other things going on around them.

3. Excellent attention span and concentration skills, which makes it possible for Light Drivers to drive under high pressure conditions without getting overwhelmed or lost focus of what they are doing .

4. Good problem solving abilities that help when obstacles arise while driving during night time or in dangerous traffic scenarios .

5. Strong communication skills both verbal and nonverbal as a light driver is often required to communicate with other drivers and pedestrians while operating their vehicle
