What is a Light Driver?

A light driver is a component of an LED lighting system that converts the low-voltage current from the battery pack into high-current pulses to drive LEDs.

What qualifications are required to become a Light Driver?

1. A light driver's license is for drivers who have a Class D or E Driver License, but only if they are at least 18 years old and meet the other qualifications listed below.

2. To qualify for a light driver's license you must pass an online driving test (or in person), show proof of car insurance, pay a $12 application fee, and provide your social security number or passport ID card to the DMV.

3. You must be at least 16 years old to apply for a learner’s permit with experience operating smaller vehicles such as ATVs or motorcycles; 17 years old to receive full privileges on all roads; and 18 years old to receive full privileges while holding a regular driver’s license without any restrictions*. (*Requires completion of Youthful Offender Program requirements.)

4. In order to renew your current class D/E Light Driver License you will need: Pass an online vision screening* OR submit documentation from your doctor stating that you are not able to participate in standard eye exams due either directly o indirectly** *OR **Submit valid photo identification including date of birth hologram*** .
