A Maintenance Foreman is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and care of a facility's infrastructure. This might include ensuring that all equipment is in working order, scheduling regular repairs, coordinating resources when necessary, and providing leadership to team members. A Maintenance Foreman also ensures compliance with safety standards and company policy.
A Maintenance Foreman must have a degree in mechanical engineering or another related field. They must also be skilled at problem solving and possess excellent organizational skills. Lastly, they must be able to provide leadership and supervision of maintenance crews.
The skills required to become a Maintenance Foreman include: excellent problem-solving abilities, strong leadership and management skills, experience working with maintenance teams, knowledge of mechanics and equipment.
