What is a Maintenance Supervisor?

A maintenance supervisor is responsible for overseeing the overall operation and performance of a facility's mechanical, electrical, plumbing ( MEP ), or heating/cooling systems. They ensure that equipment is in good working order and that all repairs are carried out promptly. Maintenance supervisors also keep an eye on safety regulations to make sure employees are safe while performing their duties.

What qualifications are required to become a Maintenance Supervisor?

1. A minimum of 2 years experience as a Maintenance Supervisor is required.

2. Must have excellent problem solving skills and be able to work independently with little supervision.

3. Knowledge of repair procedures for various equipment types is necessary, along with knowledge of safety practices in the maintenance field.

4. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as well as the ability to lead teams both verbally and written agendas/procedures/tasks assignments etc..
