They need strong attention to detail so that they can pinpoint the issue correctly, and then figure out how best fix it. 2. Being efficient problem solvers is essential for someone pursuing a career as a Maintenance Technician - often times there are multiple solutions possible for any given issue, and the technician needs the skill set necessary find them all quickly without wasting time or resources. 3. Teamwork is also important; while technicians may work on their own at times, they are typically required (or willing) participate in group settings in order not only solve problems but provide support for one another too! 4. Finally, good communication skills are key - whether issuing orders or providing feedback during repairs/updates/troubleshooting efforts – both within individual teams setting up shop around machinery etc., but also between different departments within larger companies where various tasks intersect from time-to-time 5 .
