What is a MEP Technician?

A MEP Technician is a technician who specializes in installing, maintaining and repairing metal roofing. They may also work on other types of metal construction, such as girders or flashing.

What qualifications are required to become a MEP Technician?

1. A degree in engineering or a related field is required.

2. Experience working with computers and software programs is essential.

3. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be proficient in at least one foreign language ( preferably German or French).

4. Typically requires certification from an accredited technical training program such as the Electrotechnical Technician Certification Board (ETCB) or National Institute for Standards & Technology’s Computer Hardware Engineer Specialist certificate program .

5 Finally, MEP technicians must also meet certain physical requirements including having good eyesight and hearing; being physically fit; possessing manual dexterity sufficient enough to handle various hand tools used during installation/repair work;and possessing basic safety knowledge
