A MEP Technician is a technician who specializes in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems. They may work on residential or commercial properties and are typically required to have certification from an organization such as the National Electrical Code (NEC).
1. A degree in engineering or a related field is required.
2. Experience and/or training in MEP technology is preferred, but not necessary.
3. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for the job.
4. Technical knowledge of MEP technologies is important, but isn't necessarily required for all positions within the MEP department .
5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is key
1) Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
2) Experience working with computers and software programs;
3) Ability to take direction well and work independently as needed;
4) Proven experience in MEP technology, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment;
5) Interest in learning new technologies
