What is a MEP Technician?

A MEP Technician is a person who specializes in the installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems. They may also be responsible for creating drawings or specifications for new construction projects.

What qualifications are required to become a MEP Technician?

A. A college degree in engineering or a related field

B. Two years of experience as an MEP technician

C. Certification from the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) in electromechanical testing

D. Experience supervising others in electromagnetic testing work tasks

E. Excellent problem solving skills
