What is a Merchandiser?

A merchandiser is a person who sells products in retail stores. They may be responsible for finding new and popular brands, stocking the shelves with inventory, and helping customers find what they need. Merchandisers often have excellent customer service skills, as well as knowledge about fashion trends and product availability.

What qualifications are required to become a Merchandiser?

1. A diploma or degree in merchandising is generally required, but there are no specific requirements for experience.

2. Merchandisers must have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to problem solve and think critically.

3. Merchants must be able to work independently and handle a high volume of transactions quickly and efficiently.

4. They should also have good customer service skills, since most customers come into contact with merchandise sales representatives at some point during their shopping experience.

5 .Merchandise sellers need strong technical knowledge in accounting, inventory management systems (IMS), stock keeping units (SKUs), packing materials/supplies etc...
