What is a MOTOR MECHANIC?

A motor mechanic is a person who repairs and maintains motors. They may work on cars, trucks, motorcycles, or other vehicles. Motor mechanics typically have a degree in automotive engineering or another related field. They must have excellent knowledge of engines and how they work to ensure that the machines run smoothly. Mechanics also need good problem solving skills as many problems can be difficult to diagnose

What qualifications are required to become a MOTOR MECHANIC?

1. A valid driver's license or State issued ID

2. Must have good driving record and be in satisfactory standing with the Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA)

3. Previous experience as a mechanic is helpful, but not mandatory

4. Ability to read and follow written instructions, use tools accurately, work independently with little supervision

5. Be physically fit for hands-on labor

What are the skills required to become a MOTOR MECHANIC?

1. Ability to read and understand blueprints or diagrams of various car parts

2. Knowledge of different types of engines, how they work, and what common problems may occur with them

3. Strong understanding of mechanics: physics principles involved in motion, forces acting on objects/systems etc., as well as basic tools and techniques needed for repairs (including using a wrench appropriately)

4. Familiarity with computer-aided design software programs used for creating CAD drawings from scratch or modifying existing ones (e.g AutoCAD)

5. Proven experience working on cars themselves – being able to identify the problem area(s), carry out necessary diagnosis/repair procedures, follow safety protocols
