A Pharmacist is a health professional who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders with pharmaceuticals. They are responsible for prescribing, dispensing, monitoring use of medications, advising patients on drug interactions, providing information to patients about the benefits and risks associated with drugs, as well as creating patient medication records.
The Pharmacist must have a college degree in pharmacy, and pass the National Board of Pharmacy (NBC) exam. They must also be licensed by the state in which they practice.
