What is a Physician

A physician is a licensed health professional who has completed medical school and passed the Medical Board of India (MBI) licensing examination. Physicians are typically involved in providing care for patients with diagnosed illnesses or injuries, as well as preventive medicine.

What qualifications are required to become a Physician

A. A Doctor of Health Administration/Medical Officer License

B. Graduate degree in an appropriate medical specialty

C. Three years experience as a registered nurse or licensed practical and clinical nurse, preferably within a hospital setting

D. Board-certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties in one of the following specialties: Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics (only if applicant is not currently practicing medicine), Neurology or Ophthalmology)
